My good friend Chad Barth visited our family this weekend during a business trip to the Eventbrite San Francisco headquarters. Chad and I met at the Chad Barth Concert for Epilepsy in Washington, D.C. Chad has a concert. I have epilepsy. Last year, my family traveled to Washington, D.C. for the National Walk for Epilepsy and the Concert for Epilepsy.

Chad has become an extended member of our family, even before the gumball balancing lesson. Chad always seems to enjoy himself, whether he is playing with my children or playing “with a guitar” at last year’s benefit concert.
Chad’s concert continues growing. After I attended (and photographed) the concert in 2010, the concert won Eventbrite’s 2010 MyEventRocked award. Tonight I read my old blog post with links to the Eventbrite announcement. I was a little excited (maybe a lot). Even though the 2012 event will dwarf the 2010 concert, we may always enjoy winning the Eventbrite award more than any future award.
Chad’s small concert that started as a karaoke concert continues inspiring people. By participating as the official photographer, I have also become a much stronger voice at the Epilepsy Foundation. Thank you Chad.
